Crystal Bastien, who was charged in connection with the homicide of 30-year-old Mohamad Mana appeared in court by video on Thursday.
Bastien was charged with first-degree murder after turning herself in to police Wednesday night after police issued a Canada wide-warrant for her arrest.
The body of Mohamed Mana, 30, was found in a room at the Residence Inn by Marriott on Walkley Road near Bank Street late Saturday night.
The names of witnesses and detailed descriptions of the crime scene was mistakenly released to 200 email recipients early Sunday morning.

Rich investors granted Canadian residency despite suspicions of fake documents and dubious assets
The Quebec Immigration Investor Program (QIIP) is being accused of fast-tracking rich investors to Canadian residency despite evidence of applicants providing fake documents and possessing ill-gotten assets.
Former administration officials for the program allege they were pressured to ignore signs of corruption and other signs of ineligibility of wealthy applicants.
Multiple former and current employees spoke on condition of anonymity to Radio Canadas Enquête about what they see as flaws in the program granting permanent residency to thousands of people since 1986.

Russia reinstated by WADA after doping scandal suspension
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has ended a three-year suspension of Russian athletes over allegations of state-sponsored doping.
Leading athletes and anti-doping bodies had opposed the move, however, WADA president Sir Craig Reedie said the reinstatement was “subject to strict conditions”.
Russia’s anti-doping agency has been suspended since 2015 after being accused of covering up evidence of doping – including during the 2014 Sochi Olympic games – in a WADA commissioned report.
The UK Anti-Doping Agency (Ukad) had joined with other leading national anti-doping organizations around the world to call for a postponement of the decision.
