Passengers of a Via Rail train traveling between Ottawa and Toronto were left frustrated and waiting on Feb. 2.

The train hit debris that caused it to stop, power outages, a fuel leak and damaged windows as reported by City News and Canadian Press.

Debris hit by the rear of the train causing an immediate stop. Passengers were soon moved toward the front of the train to wait.

Some travelers were reportedly waiting for four hours before getting on another train. Delays were posted for Via causing a ripple effect following the incident.

Donald Trump was denied a loan from Deutschland Bank in 2016. After his election the bank was left with a choice to either collect debt or have the president’s business.

Trump burned through millions on his campaign and expanding his high-end properties. He later turned to Deutschland Bank, who had been a long time ally so far. The German bank was one of very few willing to still lend money to “The King of Debt,” as the man once labeled himself.

A fight broke out over the request at the top of the bank but in the end they’re startling answer was no, as reported by the Times.

Feb. 2 brought another Groundhog Day for 2019 with varied forecasts from the famous critters raising and dropping hopes.

Though Nova Scotia’s famous Shubenacadie Sam predicted a long winter, Ontario’s Wiarton Willy contradicted him with a prediction of early spring. Some have hopes for an early spring with the bitter cold of winter still lingering in our snowiest first months.

Canadian’s are being warned by Global News meteorologist Ross Hull, to expect a continued blast of winter however, going into April or May.

“Unfortunately, Arctic air doesn’t look at the calendar. So as many Canadians know, winter weather can last well into April even May across parts of the country.” Hull said as reported by Global News.
