(FROM CBC) Hundreds of people braved the cold temperatures on Saturday to attend Ottawa’s third annual Women’s March.
The march began with a rally on parliament hill followed by a nearly three-kilometre walk through downtown to Lansdowne Park.
The protesters carried signs which addressed a wide range of topics, from international human rights to #MeToo movement to policies of Premier Doug Ford.

(FROM CBC) Conservative leader Andrew Scheer answered questions on illegal immigration, government spending and military procurement at a town hall with young people in Toronto.
Scheer blasted the Liberal government over its purchase of used fighter jets.
Before parliament returns from its winter break, Scheer and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are making their way across the country meeting Canadians and answering questions ahead of the Federal elections.

(FROM BBC) US President Donald Trump has offered some compromises to try to end the government shutdown.
Part of his compromise is to extend protection for Dreamers for another three years, allowing them continued access to work permits.
The president insist that his compromises are reasonable and would build trust and goodwill.
