Police are searching for Ottawa resident Crystal Bastien, 32, for her suspected involvement with the death of Mohamad Mana. Mana, 30, was found dead in a hotel in Ottawa’s South end neighbourhood on Saturday. Bastien is on a Canada-wide arrest, but is still believed to be in the Ottawa area, according to Ottawa Police Service Spokesperson const. Amy Gagnon. Investigators warn Bastien is considered violent and anyone who spots her should call 911 rather than approach.

US NEGOTIATORS SHOWING IMPATIENCE

Canada’s diplomatic stance in the on-going North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) talks is coming under fire by top Republican officials. Citing his party’s increasing frustration with Canada’s purposefully slow negotiating methods, House Majority Whip Steve Scalise warns that “there is not an unlimited amount of time” for Canada to find its place in the agreement’s new iteration. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau responded to the criticisms on Tuesday, saying “When it comes to NAFTA, we will sign a good deal or we will not sign.”
