Few visitors showed up for the Perth Discovery Day held at the campus Jan. 17.

However, the faculty and students taught the few visitors who came, a lesson on community and the love for a school.

“We thought nobody would show up,” said nursing student Alyshia Richards. “It’s a pleasant surprise, that a few people are actually here”.

Sarah Dupuis led tours of the school for those who showed up, and enjoyed getting to know everyone coming in.

“It’s so small, and it really lets everyone get to know each other,” she said about the campus.

The school is very different from the Woodroffe campus; there is a free fitness centre, smaller classes, and there is the ability to become close with all the professors and staff there.

“We are such a tight-knit community and with all the resources we extend to our students, we should get some recognition,” said Dupuis.

“With only six programs, the Perth campus is forgotten behind the enormity of the school in Ottawa, which is much more well known than the other campuses.”
