Students observe posters at the D-building cafeteria on Jan. 18-20. It was the second time posters being sold at Algonquin.

The D-building cafeteria was host to a poster sale from Jan. 18-20. Students from all across campus attended the sale and browsed the wide selection of posters supplied by Imaginus Posters. The vast array of posters included celebrity photos, movie posters, video game cover art and even included art work from the likes of Van Gogh and Hokusai.

Many posters completely sold out. Among the most popular and fastest selling items included posters of Game of Thrones, Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night, and several designs from the U.K. based graffiti artist, Banksy.

“The prices are amazing” said first year early childhood education student, Amanda Cave Saunders. “I’ve spent almost $60 on posters in just two days.”

Many students attended the Imaginus sale from previous years. “I’ve bought posters from them before when they set up at Carleton. Its really high quality stuff, I still have posters I bought from them years ago.” said personal support worker graduate Courtney Belaire.

Imaginus routinely sets up shop in colleges and universities all across Ontario. Its strong partnership with various schools means that Algonquin  is likely to see another sale in the near future.
