Charges have been laid against an alleged perpetrator of a sexual assault that happened inside of Algonquin’s Ottawa campus last month.
Brandon Radtke, 36, has been charged with the sexual assault of a woman in her mid-20s at 3:40 a.m. on Oct. 14. The woman had been sleeping in a college lounge when the assault took place.
As well as those charges, Radtke was also charged with possession of a scheduled substance and five breeches of his parole conditions.
Police released surveillance camera photos of a man wandering through the halls of the Ottawa campus, leading to a major response from the public that assisted them in identifying the suspect.
Const. Amy Gagnon of the Ottawa Police Service said that the suspect was arrested on Oct. 26. He appeared in court on Oct. 27.
Police and Algonquin security have both said they are unable to answer questions pertaining to the exact location of the assault or the condition of the victim.
