Ottawa Police Services were notified of a possible sexual assault taking place Oct. 9 at 6:40 p.m. near the intersection of Navaho Drive and Woodroffe Avenue in the college area. According to Police Services Media Relations officer Amy Gagnon, investigation is still on-going as of Oct. 17. Further details are yet to be released.

POLICE HALT IN-PROGRESS INCIDENT

Ottawa Police Services received a call concerning a disturbance at a 1300-block Woodroffe Avenue residence near Algonquin College on Sept. 19 at 10:20 P.M. The person causing the disturbance was removed by officers and no charges have been laid.

STUDENT HARASSED BY CLASSMATE

On Sept. 19 a student notified security of being harassed by a classmate. Security Services takes all such allegations seriously and urges students to always report.

LAPTOP STOLEN

A student reported their laptop stolen to campus security on Sept. 20. Security Services would like to remind all students to never leave possessions unattended.

TRESPASSER REMOVED FROM CAMPUS

Campus security made contact with a non-student individual in possession of marijuana on campus grounds on Sept. 18. The person did not comply when asked to leave and was issued a trespass notice.

LOCKER ALARM

Security reported a locker alarm triggered on Oct. 2. Alarms are placed in random lockers across campus and go off if an attempt is made to force them open. Upon triggering, campus security is immediately notified and dispatched.
